OPSC PGT Recruitment 2017 - Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Vacancy in SC ST Higher Secondary School.
Odisha Public Service Commission invites online application from eligible candidates for the post of Post Graduate Teacher in Higher Secondary School working under SC ST Development Department. In service contractual junior lecturer or PGT working in Higher Secondary School under SC ST development department can also apply for the above post. There are 230 vacancies in different stream as mentioned below. Candidates should apply online before 21st August 2017 by online mode. Then candidates have to pay the fee before 24th August 2017 and have to submit the hard copy of the application fee before 31st August 2017 to OPSC. Read below for more details.

Age Limit : A candidates must be under 32 year and above 21 year of age as on the 1st day of January 2017. he/She must have born not earlier than 2nd january 1985 and not later than 1st January 1996. Age relaxation is as per the govt. rules. Upper age is upto 42 years for Sc & ST candidates.
Educational Qualification :
(i) A candidate must have a Master's Degree in the subject concerned from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
or
must have possessed two years integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course from Regional College of Education NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii) BEd. or equivalent degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi as equivalent with B.Ed. from a recognized University.
(iii) Diploma or Degree in Computer Application is desirable qualification subject to production of certificate in support of above qualification obtained from recognized University or College or Institution.
Application Fee :-A candidate have to pay Rs.300/-(Rupees three hundred) only. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with disability [whose disability is not less than 40% (forty percent)] are exempted from payment of this fee].

Candidates should apply online by the OPSC website that is www.opsc.gov.in . After applying take the print out of the application and send it to the below given address before 31st August 2017. On the envelope of the application form, write ""Application for recruitment to the post of Post Graduate Teachers under Science & Commerce Stream In Group-B. ". A candidates have to submit along with the printout/hard copy of Online application,attested copies of the following certificates. The candidates are also required to mention on each document "submitted by me" and put their full signature on the same.
(i) H.S.C. or equivalent Certificate in support of declaration of age. issued by the concerned Board/Council;
(ii) Intermediate/Higher Secondary/+2 Examination Certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council;
(iii) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Degree/+3 Arts/+3 Sc./+3 Commerce Degree Certificate issued by the recognized University;
(iv) Masters Degree certificate issued from the recognized University in concerned subjects.
(v) B.Ed. or equivalent Degree •recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi as equivalent with B.Ed. from recognized University.
(vi) Mark lists in support of all the aforesaid examinations (i.e. H.S.C. to Master's Degree and B.Ed.) passed including fail marks, if any, issued by the concerned Board/Council/Universities.(vii) Two recent passport size photographs (unsigned and unattested), which has been uploaded in the Online Application Form.

(viii) Certificate of character from the Principal/Proctor/Dean or Professor in charge of a Department of Teaching of the College or University in which he/she last studied;
(ix) Caste Certificate by birth in support of claim as S.C./S.T./S.E.B.C. whichever applicable.
(x) Required Odia pass certificate from the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha indicating Odia as a language subject equivalent to M.E. School Standard or a certificate from the Principal/Headmaster of the School indicating that the candidate has passed Odia in M.E. Standard, if not passed Odia as a subject in the High School Certificate/equivalent examination;
(xi) If a candidate claims to possess qualification equivalent to the prescribed qualification, the rule/authority (with number and date) under which it is so treated, must be furnished with the printout/hardcopy of the online Application.
(xii) Ex-Servicemen are required to attach copy of Discharge Certificate issued by the Commanding Officer of the Unit last served. ' (xiii) Physically Handicapped candidates are required to attach copy of their identity card issued by the District Social Welfare Officer along with the Disability Certificate (indicating percentage of disability) issued by the concerned Medical Board.
(xiv) O.P.S.C. copy of Challan (Pay in Slip) for payment of fcc at SBI
(xv) The contractual Junior Lecturers/Post Graduate Teachers working in various Higher Secondary Schools of ST & SC Development Department shall attach copy of the relevant certificate issued by the concerned District Collector/District Welfare Officer certifying that
(a) they have put in continuous contractual service till date
(b) the date from which the candidate has been engaged as contractual Junior Lecturer/Post Graduate Teachers of the Higher Secondary Schools of ST & SC Development Department, Government of Odisha.
(xii) Ex-Servicemen are required to attach copy of Discharge Certificate issued by the Commanding Officer of the Unit last served. ' (xiii) Physically Handicapped candidates are required to attach copy of their identity card issued by the District Social Welfare Officer along with the Disability Certificate (indicating percentage of disability) issued by the concerned Medical Board.

Method Of Selection :
The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts shall be made on the basis of written examination and Viva Voce test.
(i) The Written Examination will consist of General English, General Knowledge and the subject concerned for which the vacancies have been advertised.
(ii)
(a) The examination will be of objective type multiple choice questions in one paper consisting of 150 marks and 150 questions with 3 hours duration.
(b) The paper shall comprise of 2 parts, i.e. Part-A (Compulsory) and Part-B (Concerned Subject).
(c) Part-A (Compulsory) shall consist of 50 marks with 50 questions as
under :-
(i) General English 20 marks
(ii) Computer Aptitude 10 marks
(iii) Pedagogy 10 marks
(iv) General Knowledge 10 marks

(d) Part-B (Concerned Subject) shall consist of 100 marks with 100 questions covering the syllabus prescribed for P.G. Degree in the concerned subject.
